Groom & Bride

Pio-Ronna bg9

Pio Alfonso Ong

"In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered."

1 Peter 3:7
Pio-Ronna 55

Levita Ronna Ilao

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."

1 Cor 13:4-7
Our Love Story
Pio and Ronna were Taekwondo friends since 2007, back then they were just 13 years old. They first saw each other at a Taekwondo Competition (Unit Meet). Nothing fancy nor magical, just two sweaty players, barely noticing each other. Unknown to everyone, as old as it may sound, they were occasionally talking through Yahoo Mail with a here and there texting.

Oddly chatting and commenting on each other's FB walls and Messenger, Pio, being Pio, calls Ronna “Babe”, to which Ronna responded everytime with calling him back “Ong.” Ronna secretly had a little crush on Pio, though no one ever noticed. College happened, and they both went to Manila but never crossed paths. They lost touch, maintaining only a faint connection via FB and IG, with the occasional "Happy Birthday" greeting and brief DMs.

Fast forward to the days before the pandemic, they started talking, and little did they know that a night spent praying together during a video call would blossom into something more. Since then, they started talking nonstop. At the peak of the pandemic (April 2020), while everyone was in their "bawal lumabas era," these two were in their "falling in love era", seeing each other almost every day.

They became official in the same year and got engaged 3 years after, during Ronna's birthday.

Two opposite individuals who chose to stay together despite of their indifferences. A relationship binded and protected by the love and faithfulness of God. Despite all the ups and downs, wins and loses and everything in between, God sent them to be of equal help to one another. After weathering the storms of life, here they are, finally enjoying the rainbow.

After four years together as lovers, we will all witness them honor God with their "I DOs." A love story that is no fairytale, but surely is a Godtale, where the Author writes and turns four years into forever, indeed a happily ever after.

We love because HE first loves us. 1 John 4:19

Attire Guide
Handsome Gents,

Come dressed in your most dapper suit with bow/neck tie. Go for earthy shades such as green and brown. Don't shy away from accessorising with pops of stripes and plaid in your ties, pocket squares, socks etc. And for fashionable gents, rock a stylish texture or plaided fabric for your suits. For easy wardrobe choices, we have added the colors: BLACK and GRAY. Take note that these two colors are exclusively for male only.
Pretty Ladies,

Think mid to floor-length dresses/gown, preferably long gown. Opt for luminous silks, floaty chiffons and other soft textures to channel effortless elegance. Or reach for joyful prints may it be floral or whatsoever, romantic ruffles and shimmering details for an elevated statement that will take you from day to night. Do not be afraid to play with fabrics and designs. We would love to see you blushy in your stand out gowns. Please no wearing of RED, BLACK and WHITE.
Ladies and Gents,
we politely ask you to follow the GUESTS'' COLOR PALETTE. We would be outmost grateful for your cooperation. Lastly guests, wear your best accessories. Your smiles and lively personalities.

Note on Gifts

W ith all that we have, we've been truly blessed
with the favor and love of our dear God.

In this happiest moment of our lives,
your presence is present enough
and your prayers are blessings from above.

But if you desire to give nonetheless,
a monetary gift is the one that we suggest.
