Our Love Story
Yedda and Emman’s journey began in the church, where their eyes first met during a music discipleship program in 2014. It was evident that there was a divine purpose behind their meeting, and a beautiful friendship blossomed almost instantly. However, the distance of their separate universities posed a challenge, making it difficult for them to nurture their bond in the years that followed.
Emman, with a heart full of devotion, reached out to Yedda. Time and again, gently urging her to rekindle her commitment to her first love—God—and to embrace the joy of serving Him again.
Soon, they officially started their relationship—December 29, 2020—when Emman said "Uray nu adayu ak ket sika laeng ti ay-ayatek", (Even if we're miles apart, you are the only one whom I love). They were very persistent to pursue each other despite being in a long-distance-relationship. Though their personalities were different, they found that these differences only made them complement one another. Their relationship had blossomed and became evident to one's eye—becoming the perfect match— as they made God the center of their relationship. It is only through God's strings of love that binded them together despite the distance.
On November 11 of 2023, Emman knelt before her. He proposed, and she said "Yes!"
Once there was a little girl who sees the world with her eyes full of delight. Who in a blink of an eye grew into a beautiful woman— gorgeous, intelligent, diligent, generous, strong and God-fearing. Seen in her heart a diamond so pure and passion that shone when she teaches kids who were once her age.
And once there was a boy who sees the world full of wonders he wanted to explore. Who then grew up to be a charming man— dashing, curious, responsible, wise, disciplined and faithful. Seen in his gaze a colorful hint of the warm personality he has. One day, he discovered the diamond-hearted woman whose light shone brighter than any other precious stones and gold in the underground mines he explored.
Yedda and Emman—a couple blessed with God's love, determined to share it with the world around them and, most importantly, with each other. Who on December 28 of 2024 will finally tie the knot! Inviting their loved ones to stand before them to witness their flourishing love; and as this lovely couple stand before God as a witness to their covenant.
